Evolution Launches the World’s First Live Online Craps Game
Revolutionary iGaming software developer Evolution has just unveiled the world’s first live dealer craps game. The team behind this innovative release promises players an authentic and immersive experience, just like at a traditional casino.
To make it easier for beginners to learn the game, Evolution has included an Easy Mode and a user-friendly interactive tutorial. And for those who prefer a more traditional approach, a Random Number Generator version of craps will be launched in the near future.
According to Todd Haushalter, Chief Product Officer at Evolution, “Players and casinos have been asking for a live craps game for years, and we are thrilled to finally make it happen. With this release, we now offer every game that you would find at a physical casino”.
Haushalter also stated that developing an online version of craps was no easy feat but the team has done an exceptional job. He believes that live craps will attract players from all around the world and help expand their reach in new markets outside of Europe.
What’s the Initial Reaction?
It is still early days, but initial responses have been overwhelmingly positive. The attention to detail in creating a realistic experience is evident with even the use of a mechanized arm to roll the dice. This ensures fair gameplay and eliminates any possibility of blaming the dealer if luck doesn’t go your way.
Proposed Merger with NetEnt
In addition to this groundbreaking release, Evolution has announced plans to acquire NetEnt for $2.1 Billion. This merger is seen as a strategic move as both companies have been performing exceptionally well in their respective markets. While Evolution saw a revenue of 140 million Euros in the third quarter of 2020, NetEnt reported a 58% increase in profits compared to the same period last year.
Evolution recently launched five live tables in Pennsylvania and opened a new studio in Kaunsa, Lithuania. They have also had great success with their games Crazy Time and Instant Roulette and are hoping to continue this streak with live craps.
Meanwhile, NetEnt has been focused on establishing a strong presence in the United States and has signed deals with major operators such as William Hill US, BetMGM, DraftKings, Scientific Games, and Tipico throughout 2020.
